JOHN T CHAMBERS (born August 23, 1949) is Chairman of the Board and CEO of Cisco Systems, Inc. Chambers joined Cisco in 1991 as senior vice president, Worldwide Sales and Operations.[1] Since January 1995, when he assumed the role of CEO, the company has grown from $1.2 billion in annual revenues to its current run-rate of approximately $40 billion.[2] In November 2006, he was named Chairman of the Board, in addition to his CEO role. Prior to joining Cisco, he spent eight years at Wang Laboratories (1982–1990) and six years with IBM (1976–1982). Chambers served on the Board of Directors of myCFO. [edit] EducationChambers earned Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degrees, both in business, from West Virginia University from 1971 and a Juris Doctor from the West Virginia University College of Law from 1974.[1] He later received his Master of Business Administration degree in finance and management from Indiana University in 1975. Previously, he also attended the School of Engineering at Duke University from 1967 to 1968
